Coffee & TV are looking for a Colour Grading Assistant for 4-9 weeks as part of the AICP ‘Double the Line’ initiative starting on Monday 9th October. The successful candidate will be someone who complies with the AICP scheme:

Grade assisting at Coffee TV is a fast-paced and dynamic position, ideal for someone looking to get into colour grading. The role supports the colourists, producers and VFX teams.

An ideal candidate will have a passion for advertising and colour grading in the VFX genre.

Responsibilities Include

• Conforming from rushes, prores or any other forms of media
• Ensuring the highest possible image quality has been provided for grade
• Managing media ingest from local drives to the main server
• Perfecting timelines for grade
• Updating timelines with new shots or VFX
• Sending wips from the colourist to production or client
• Rendering final exports from grade
• QC check of all grade exports
• Distributing exports internally or externally
• Communicating any issues between colourists and producers
• Technical support for colourists, producers and the wider team
• Maintaining organisation of the grade department, including projects, archives and updates

Future Responsibilities

  • Tracking windows and shapes
  • Colour-tracing grades to new timelines
  • DCP / Roundtrip updated VFX through grade
  • Match grading new shots
  • Match grading new edits

Desired skills

  •  Familiarity in grading or editing software (DaVinci Resolve, Baselight, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, Avid)
  • Organisation and the ability to manage and juggle multiple tasks at once
