The COVID-19 pandemic made it impossible to shoot a live action ad, so Ogilvy’s team of creatives came up with the concept of using a CG lizard to highlight the need to “banish dry and scaly hands” with the brand’s new product.
We were asked to create the photoreal lizard, product pack shots and the entire scene in CG for the TV and online commercial. Our team of artists created a true to life reptile but the creative brief required some key embellishments so the lizard would appear more friendly, loveable and cute to consumers. Martin Allan led the creative direction and animation on the project.
