What are you loving most about being in New York?

What are your first impressions of the Coffee & TV studio in NY?
What’s the atmosphere like in the NY office?
The team in New York have been so welcoming and supportive. Jaz, our Managing Director, has made me feel incredibly valued, and her tireless efforts to get the studio up and running are already paying off. Katharine, our Senior Producer, brings such professionalism and friendliness to the office—it’s a joy to work with her. Rob, our VFX Supervisor, is exceptional at his craft and such a nice person to have around. I’ve also been lucky to have Sorrel here from London. Her experience with Coffee & TV has made settling in so much easier, and I couldn’t imagine a better person to share this adventure with.
What inspired you to take this opportunity in the U.S.?
I want to experience everything that’s on offer here, build lasting relationships, and create exceptional work with our clients. My goal is to help strengthen Coffee & TV’s presence in the U.S. while growing professionally alongside the company. I see this as the first of many trips to our New York office.
Were there any pivotal moments or challenges that shaped your career?
One of my proudest moments was working on my first Super Bowl advert in 2021. It went so smoothly and looked fantastic! The two that followed were just as exciting, but the first will always be special. Beyond that, there have been so many incredible projects and people I’ve worked with—it’s hard to choose just one defining moment.
What skills or traits have been key to your success?
Collaboration is everything. Our job is to bring the vision of the director, DOP, agency, and client to life. I offer my expertise and recommendations, but ultimately, we work together to create the best possible outcome. Every project is a new challenge, which keeps things exciting. And of course, being kind and polite never hurts—P’s and Q’s go a long way!
Can you share a favorite project you’ve worked on?
Working on the F1 title sequence was an absolute highlight. It was entirely done through Coffee & TV—from CGI to compositing and grading—so I got to collaborate closely with my colleagues. Plus, as a massive F1 fan, seeing something I worked on every race weekend is just amazing!
What are you most excited about for the future of the industry?
Meeting new and brilliant creators and collaborating with them. The industry is constantly evolving, with incredible talent emerging all the time. Technological advancements in cameras and software also give us more power to create exactly what we envision, which is really exciting . I’m always watching for developments in grading technology, remote collaboration tools, and the next wave of creative talent joining the industry. Keeping up with these changes is key to staying ahead and delivering the best work possible.
