One of the most experienced and sought after drama professionals in the industry has joined Residence Pictures.

Harriet Dale joins as Commercial Director and Co-founder having spent 6 years as Director of Scripted Sales at the Farm.

Harriet has over 30 years experience in production and post production for both TV & Film. She started her career in short form production before moving to the drama department at the BBC where she spent 7 years as a Production coordinator and Production Manager. She then moved into Post Production as a Post Supervisor before joining St Anne’s Post, now part of Company 3, where she remained for 11 years as Head of Production.

Most recently Harriet was responsible for growing the scripted department at The Farm by securing and post producing major episodic series including I May Destroy You, All Creatures Great and Small and The Split.

Harriet said: “I’m really looking forward to launching this new and exciting company and helping to shape the future of post.”

Residence Pictures will launch in the Spring with a sole focus on picture finishing in the high-end episodic, feature and drama markets. Forming part of the Coffee & TV group of companies, the service offering will comprise end to end workflow planning and execution, colour grading, online, QC and delivery with invisible and specialist visual effects provided by Coffee and TV – who recently won gold at Broadcast Best Places to Work in TV.

Passionate about levelling up the playing field, Residence Pictures will also establish a training academy to offer practical training for young people who are under-represented and marginalised within the industry.  The aim of the scheme is to make every single graduate employable and legitimately build a pathway that enables a diverse representation of backgrounds, cultures and lived experiences not just into our business but to the industry overall.

Harriet forms part of a quartet of industry-leading elite talent that has come together as Co-Founders to launch Residence Pictures. Each headhunted by Managing Director Cara Kotschy, Harriet will work alongside Colourist Paul Harrison and Head of Post Production, Julian Nelson.

Cara Kotschy said: “Harriet’s experience spanning 30 years making premium content is second to none. She is incredibly knowledgeable, very well loved in the industry and extremely well connected. She is the perfect co-founder to help us launch residence with success and I’m delighted to be working with her.”
