The UK’s first creative studio to gain B Corp certification, Coffee & TV, continues to showcase their commitment to their B Corp status, most recently with a fun, sustainability focused Clothes Swap event. During the month of March the global B Corp community celebrates what it means to be a B Corp, raising awareness of the movement worldwide and this year’s theme was ‘This Way Forward’, an acknowledgement that becoming a B Corp isn’t a destination, it’s a journey. A journey that Coffee & TV want to take their clients, friends and community on with them.

Hosted at their studio in Farringdon, guests were invited to bring along good quality clothing items they no longer wore/ loved/ fit with the ability to then ‘swap’ the items for a new addition to their wardrobe. Refreshments were provided by fellow B Corps, The Uncommon Wines and Toast Brewing

Holly Arnold, Sustainability & B Corp Consultant for the Creative Industries, introduced the event alongside special guest Connor Tracy from barefoot and natural footwear brand Vivobarefoot, who spoke about his role in implementing and monitoring Vivo’s ambition towards regenerative practice and opened up the discussion around innovative footwear design that reconnects people with nature.

Over £140 million worth of textile waste goes to landfill every year and, Holly shared; ‘we believe the creative industries have a role to play in making circular fashion desirable, after all it is better for our wallets, wardrobes and for the planet’. She also said ‘collaboration is at the heart of Coffee & TV studio, it’s times like B Corp month where we feel grateful to be part of such a generous, forward thinking and exciting community.’

As the company expands into NYC, LA and ATX they plan on spreading the B Corp message across the whole of the business with events such as these being hosted, to bring people together to promote sustainable practices and community.

Feedback was glowing and the Coffee & TV team promised this will be the first of many!
